  Roadside Static Billboards

Facing highways and main arterial routes throughout South Africa, mainly in high traffic density areas. Sizes vary and includes landscape and portrait formats. Prices will vary based on size, traffic count, traffic speed and peak hour traffic exposure. Material will be printed on flex-face, vinyl or paper, depending on site specification. Sites are mostly illuminated.

Alternative static roadside advertising would include:

  GANTRIES

Where the billboard spans across the road giving high impact exposure to approaching traffic

  WRAPS

Very popular to hide construction sites, also a popular medium giving a larger advertising surface, often wrapped around corners of buildings

  SKYLINE BRANDING

Such as the Vodacom Ponti Tower and the MTN advert on the skyline of Jo’burg CBD, where the advertisement is visible from various approaches towards a CBD

  Roadside Rotating Billboards

Also known as “Tri-vision” billboards, these adspaces consists of triangular prisms, which rotate, to display three consecutive adverts. The added benefit is the element of movement and the reasonable prices.

73% of IN TOUCH OUTDOOR clients advertising on tri-visions have renewed their agreements for period in excess of 24 months. This is an indication of the high audience retention rate, and the fact that the ad has a longer lifespan than static adverts.

  Scrolling Billboards

Scrollers also offered shared advertising space, but the consecutive adverts are displayed when the ads “scroll” either sideways or top-to-bottom to display the next advert. A few billboard companies are testing the larger Scrollers on selected sites. A fairly new medium, priced higher than tri-visions and sometimes at same rates as static adverts, due to the added element of movement. Maximum number of ads tends to be 4. Great medium to get exposure nationally at high profile shopping centres for short burst branding campaigns.

  Bus Shelters

Brand the back and sides of bus shelters – effective when a large portfolio of bus shelters are rented, or choose a few strategic sites leading up to your premises. A cost-effective alternative to roadside advertising.

  Mobile Media

Moving Media refers to advertising on the roads, where the advert is placed on a trailer that is moving around along the highways and main arterials predominantly in the larger cities of South Africa. This is a valuable medium for product launches and store openings, as the client has a say in pin-pointing exact routes in focused geographic areas. IN TOUCH OUTDOOR only uses reputable Mobile Billboard Operators with a proven track record.

  Vehicle Branding

The London Taxi Cabs have become a very popular fleet to brand, due to the dedicated routes between Airports, main city attractions, and business and shopping nodes. Available in Cape Town, Durban and Johannesburg.

  International Airport Advertising - External

External billboards on the properties of Airports and roads leading to and from Airports are all large formats at premium rental rates. Airports are traditionally areas for “brand boosting”, due to the large formats available in this exciting environment, with focused target audiences and measurable visitation.

  Airport Advertising - Internal

Internal advertising opportunities abound, but to have impact a few sites need to be rented in a row or repetitive pattern.
